What are Collagen Peptides and Why I use it Everyday!

Collagen Peptides is all the rage right now! Since adding collagen into my diet a few years ago I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair, skin and nails! Some of the benefits I have noticed are, shinier, longer hair, stronger nails, fuller skin, less wrinkles (yes, I have wrinkles at 27!)

So, what is collagen exactly? Collagen is the body’s most important building block and it makes up approximately 30% of the proteins in our bodies. However, with age, our bodies naturally begin to produce less collagen, and the first signs of aging start to occur. That’s when you need to add some supplements to your diet to help slow the aging process, and not only visible aging. Our bones weaken over time becoming brittle and weak.

Different way to use:

  • Coffee
  • Yogurt
  • Smoothie
  • Water
  • Soups
  • Cereal

I actually only started adding Collagen Peptides into my morning coffee to give me some protein, because most of the time I don’t feel like eating a meal first thing in the morning. I wasn’t even thinking of all the amazing benefits! I’m so glad I started using collagen and will continue using it daily for lasting results!!

There are many options to pick from when choosing a collagen. I love Pure Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides they have great reviews and are very affordable! Vital Proteins is also amazing, they are a more recognizable brand as it is sold in stores as well as Amazon. Vital Proteins  also have these awesome to-go travel packs!

Whatever brand and how you choose to use it you wont regret adding collagen into your diet!
